TURN BY TURN

Mastering the Arkansas Karting Complex

This isn’t just another lap around the track — every corner at the Arkansas Karting Complex has a personality, and it’s ready to test yours. Turn 1 dares you to brake late, Turn 3 begs for bold passes, and the sweepers demand smooth hands and nerves of steel. Whether you’re a first-timer chasing the racing line or a veteran shaving tenths, this turn-by-turn breakdown gives you the insider’s edge to attack every lap and own the course.

1

The First Turn

To optimize your race in TURN 1, use exaggerated braking with a wide entry into the corner! A narrow exit sets you up better for TURN 2.

2

The 1st Double Apex

Turn 1 sets the tone for every race. Coming off the long front straight, drivers carry maximum speed into a sharp right-hand corner that demands late braking and precise steering. The inside line rewards confidence, but brake too late and you’ll run wide, opening the door for competitors to slip past. With plenty of passing opportunities and a high risk-high reward payoff, Turn 1 is where races can be won—or lost—before the lap has barely begun.

3

The 2nd DOUBLE APEX

To get ahead in the 2nd DOUBLE APEX, enter in the middle and put your right sides on the paint. Keep it pinned! Don’t float past the mid track same line on the exit of this double apex.

4

The S-Curve

The best way to slide into the S CURVE is to drive wide open as straight as possible! Get to the outside (left) on the exit to set yourself up for the next turn.

5

The Hairpin

Style up the HAIRPIN with exaggerated braking and a wide entry into the corner. If you take a narrow exit, it sets you up better for the next turn.

6

The Hairpin Double Apex

To get double the benefit, enter the HAIRPIN DOUBLE APEX in the middle and put your left sides on the paint. Keep it pinned! Don’t float past the mid track same line on the exit of this double apex.

7

The Carousel

To ride the CAROUSEL, lift slightly and take a wide entry turning to the inside. On your exit get as far to the inside as you can to prevent scrubbing of speed.

TRACK ETIQUETTE

What to Do and What to Avoid

Karting is all about speed and fun, but safety and respect keep the race alive. Do follow the flag signals, stay aware of other drivers, and keep both hands on the wheel. Do use smooth inputs — braking, steering, and throttle — to stay in control and get faster every lap. On the flip side, don’t bump or block intentionally, ignore track staff, or drive beyond your limits. A clean race is a fast race, and when everyone follows the do’s and avoids the don’ts, the track stays competitive, safe, and unforgettable.
